Usage¶
In this section you can find usage information and usage norms according to your role in CENTRAdmin. Different roles allow for different permissions and consequently, different modus operandi and norms.
Member Profiles¶
In the Manage Profile Screen one can Manage Publications, Change Password, Add Person Position and Edit Person Position after logging in.

Profile Information¶
Users can change their Profile Information at any time. These include it’s full name, email, website, phone, address and profile picture.
Manage Publications¶
Via Manage Publications one can check a Member’s ORCID profile by choosing ORCID Profile, Request Refresh from ORCID and check the Member’s Publications List.
Change Password¶
Users can change their CENTRAdmin’s password by choosing Change Password. If you don’t remembers your password, you can request it to be reset. You can do so via the Login screen or by simply following this link.
Person Positions¶
Users can and should keep their Position information up to date. They can do so by choosing Edit besides each Position’s summary in the Profile’s Position list.
Every time a new Position is created or edited, Managers are notified in order to validate it. When a Position is coming to an end, Members and Managers get notified in order to act accordingly.
Norms¶
- Keep profile information up to date, especially e-mail addresses and position information.
Announcements¶
Editors and Managers can add and manage existing Announcements. Announcements have a Title, Text, Thumbnail, Group, Start and End Date and the Group Only flag.
Events are listed in CENTRA‘s and the respective Group homepage since Start Date and will be archived (removed from front page) when End Date is reached. All past Announcements are listed in the respective News section since Start Date.
Announcements are tied to a Group so that Groups’ Announcements can be presented separately in the respective Group’s page while still gathering all Groups’ Announcements in CENTRA‘s page.
If an Announcement has the Group Only flag set, it is only visible from the Group’s page.

Norms¶
- Keep titles short and informative.
- Minimize the use of the End Date parameter.
Announcement Spotlights¶
Editors can manage all Announcement Spotlights. A Spotlights is an association between an Announcement and an Image. Spotlights can have a Start Date and an End Date after which they no longer appear in the front page.

- Make sure the Spotlight Image is at most 760px wide and at least 250px tall.
Events¶
Organizers can add and manage existing Events. Events have a title, a short description, a start time and and end time. Events can also have file attachments such as Presentations, Speaker Notes or Posters.
CENTRAdmin Events generate Notifications to the configured Contacts.
