Black holes, gravitational waves, Big Bang, inflationary Universe, supernovae, solar physics and stars are the main topics of research at CENTRA.

CENTRA is a research unit of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). CENTRA is composed of three groups: Gravitation in Técnico (GRIT), Cosmos and Stars (COSTAR) and Scientific and Space Instrumentation and Modeling (SIM).

First Steps

The first thing new CENTRA members must do is register themselves in our Web Platform, CENTRAdmin. You can register by using the link below:

Your full name, e-mail, position information and profile picture are mandatory.

By now you should know with which group you are working with and you will need to select it accordingly when registering.

  • Gravitation in Técnico (GRIT)
  • Cosmos and Stars (COSTAR)
  • Scientific and Space Instrumentation and Modeling (SIM)

Try to be accurate regarding your position’s length. If not sure, ceil it.

After successful registration, our team and the group’s Manager will be instantly notified so that your account can get approved as soon as possible.

Be it seminar presentations or press releases, CENTRA‘s Design Guidelines must be taken into account. These guidelines are public and can be accessed by anyone.

Since CENTRA‘s IT Support follows e-mail templates, you should always follow the following advices in order to get fast and concise IT support.

Keep in mind that procedures, guidelines and templates can and will change throughout time and therefore you should always consult this documentation for the latest procedures and advisories.

  • Search this documentation for possible trivial solution.
  • Check the appropriate support type systems/micro-informatics.
  • Choose the appropriate support request template.
  • Contact the IT Team following the Support Guidelines.

  • Every support request must follow the appropriate Request Template if provided in this documentation
  • If a Request Template is not provided in this documentation please send the Generic Support Resquest e-mail template.

  • Systems support is guaranteed 24/7 all year-round.
  • Micro-Informatics support needs to be schedulled with the IT Team.
